Wet Felting – Next Steps – Berets


Description: We will be making a wet felted beret over a resist using merino and viscose.  While not a difficult project, it does require patience to produce the best results.  

Location: 1731 Churchill Ave, London ON – East Lion’s Community Centre

Cost: LDWS Members – $45, Non-Members – $75

Date:  Saturday October 24, 2026

Time: 10am – 4pm

Participant Requirements: Not recommended as a first wet felting project

Equipment to bring:

  • A couple old towels
  • 18” pool noodle or PVC pipe or wooden dowel (old broomstick)
  • 2 pieces of bubble wrap about 24” square
  • 2 pieces light weight clear plastic 24” square
  • 1 piece netting at least 18” square (tulle or old sheer curtain material)
  • Bowl to hold water 
  • Sprinkling bottle and small spray bottle, if you have one
  • Mild dish soap or bar of olive oil soap
  • Tape measure and ballpoint pen
  • Scissors

Material Cost:  $15 per person payable to instructor on day of class

LDWS workshops are open to all. If a participant is less than 18 years old, they are required to have a parent or guardian present at all times.

This class has a minimum number of 8 participants to proceed. If this number is not reached we’ll let you know about a week ahead. You will be refunded your full registration.

The workshop is limited to 12 participants, please register early.

***Cancellation Policy: Participants who cancel their registration up to 1 month prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund.  A participant who finds a replacement for his/her spot within 1 month prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund.  Cancellations within 1 month of workshops (with no replacement found) and “no-shows” will not be refunded.  If the Guild cancels a workshop for any reason, all registration fees will be refunded.
