Description
Curious about working from raw fleece to yarn? This session is designed to build your confidence and skills in fibre preparation from the ground up.
Pack your lunch and join us for a full-day, hands-on workshop exploring how to use a picker and drum carder to transform clean fleece into spinable fibre. Prepare to be amazed as you turn curly sheep locks into soft, fluffy fibre — and spin it into beautiful yarn!
You’ll have the chance to sample different techniques throughout the day and head home with prepared fibre to continue practicing on your own.
Important Notes
- Participation in this course is training before using the Guild’s picker and carder independently.

- A current tetanus vaccination is advised due to handling raw fleece and equipment that can wound.
