This is a three-evening workshop.

Participant Fee: Members $60, Non-Members $80
Description: During the workshop, participants will learn how to:

• plan a project (rug or table runner) for size and design,
• assemble and warp a frame loom (warp thread will be provided in class),
• prepare warp and weft materials for rug twining,
• weave using two basic techniques (counter twining and same-pitch twining).

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a finished piece.

Participant Requirements: For this workshop, participants will be expected to come prepared to the first session with enough weft material to finish their project. Prep instructions will be emailed two weeks in advance, pending full registration fee received by the guild.

Equipment to bring: Dan has built special looms for this workshop

Looms will be available for a $15.00 rental fee (cash payable directly to Dan). Looms may be used and taken home for the duration of the workshop. At the end of the event, looms will be available for purchase at a cost of $60.00 (minus $15.00 rental fee already paid).

**You may bring your own loom but first, please send a picture to Dan.

Take your potholder weaving to the next level!

Join us for the afternoon to enjoy weaving techniques on the Trivet size Potholder Loom (10×10). Select a pattern to explore Basket weave, Waffle Weave, Shadow Weave, and Twills.

Participant Requirements: Open to anyone who would enjoy learning about patterns and weaving techniques on the PRO-Potholder Loom. Note- must have taken Intro Potholder Class or an equivalent experience.

Cost: $25.00 includes material/patterns, use of loom and instruction.

Description: Useful plant fibres are all around us. Come and discover plants you can collect and spin with the main focus being spinning milkweed.

This Spinning Wheel course is for the person who would like to learn how to spin on a Spinning wheel, and have fun making your own yarn from wool fibres.

Workshop is 2 hours on one date.

The drop spindle has been used to create yarn and thread throughout the ages. It is considered to be one of the earliest tools made by man, used across all cultures.

This is a fun and interesting craft to learn, appealing to handspinners who also knit, crochet or weave.

Participant Requirements: No previous spinning experience required

Equipment to bring:

• Drop Spindle if you have one – There will be spindles available for use and purchase at the class
• Wool for spinning – if you have it – there will be wool included in the material costs

Material cost: (to instructor at class)

• Drop Spindles to buy (there will be some to just borrow) $20
• Fibre to spin $15

This class will have a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 10. If the class has not met the minimum registrations you will be notified about a week before the start of class. You will be refunded your full registration fee
