QUILT FESTIVAL IN AILSA CRAIG 2019
Bringing you up to date for 2019!
Each year the tiny village of Ailsa Craig, Ontario hosts an internationally recognized Quilt Festival. The Festival features an exhibition of over 100 quilts and fibre artworks from our guest country, workshops taught by visiting teachers, the gourmet Quilt Café, vendors and demonstrations. Past countries hosted include Russia, Ireland, Great Britain, Africa, France, Israel, Denmark, Holland, Latvia an Iceland. In 2017 the Festival hosted Canada 150 to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial.
In 2019 we welcome New Zealand! We hope you join us from May 20th-25th, and don’t forget to say “Kia Ora” as you join in the fun!
The Canadian Fibre Art Challenge “New Zealand Through Our Eyes”, is a special opportunity for quilters and fibre artists in Canada to be a part of this year’s Festival. We welcome your creations. For entry details and rules visit the Challenge page on our website.
