In this workshop you will learn the simplicity of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. You will gain confidence in using your loom, understand weaving terms, and will have the skills to keep weaving on your own by the end of class. The workshop project will be to create a handwoven scarf. The yarn will be provided by the instructor.
This is a 2 Saturday Class

Cost: LDWS Members – $145, Non-Members – $175
Participant Requirements: no experience necessary
Equipment to bring:
- Scissors
- Notebook/paper
- Pen/pencil
- Looms are available from the guild but you are encouraged to bring your own if it is between 10 and 24 inches wide.
Material Cost: A material fee of $20.00 will be payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.
Workshop is limited to 4 participants, please register early. This class has a minimum number of 4 participants to proceed. If this number is not reached we’ll let you know about a week before the start of class. You will be refunded your full registration.
LDWS workshops are open to all. If a participant is less than 18 years old, they are required to have a parent or guardian present at all times
***Cancellation Policy: Participants who cancel their registration up to 1 month prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund. A participant who finds a replacement for his/her spot within 1 month prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 1 month of workshops (with no replacement found) and “no-shows” will not be refunded. If the Guild cancels a workshop for any reason, all registration fees will be refunded.
